We really enjoy doing geography in our homeschool. There is so much to learn and explore about the world that we live in. If you are learning about the U.S.A in your homeschool, exploring U.S. Landmarks for kids is not only fun, but important for building geography skills.
When you are studying world geography it is so much fun to learn about how people live in different parts of the world, their cultures and customs as well as the wonders and landmarks of the world in those countries. When you are studying US geography there are specific things which set specific states apart from others. One of these things are the famous landmarks in USA that those states are known for. If you don’t travel, your kids may never see these things. It is important for students to know that the Statue of Liberty belongs in New York, that the Golden Gate Bridge is in San Francisco, the Grand Canyon is in Arizona, our national monuments are in Washington D.C., and so on. This is also a great way for your children to remember specific states when they study the landmarks that belong in them.
